London-based Andy Shore is understood to be on gardening leave and is expected to join Kirkland as a partner to focus on secondaries and fund formation in the first half of this year, according to two sources familiar with the matter.

Shore ranked 20th in the Young Guns Class of 2018. As of September, he had worked on at least 15 deals over the preceding 12 months valued at a combined €1.3 billion, advising firms including Schroder Adveq and Bregal Investments.

His practice at Proskauer included portfolio sales, tender offers, fund of fund liquidations and some of the most complex and exotic deals to have taken place in 2018, Secondaries Investor wrote last year.

Spokeswomen for Proskauer and Kirkland & Ellis declined to comment.
