The US state's investment board has committed more than two thirds of newly-deployed capital to private equity funds specialising in the energy sector.
The $10.5bn pension worked with UBS to sell a portion of its private equity portfolio. The pension board last week approved more than $100m in commitments, including to Cinven's fifth fund.
The latest Global Private Equity Barometer conducted by Coller Capital shows that 68 percent of Asia Pacific LPs will be buyers in the secondaries market over the next two years, while 42 percent of them will be on the sellers' side.
