Coller promotes Martins Marnauza to partner

The promotion brings the total number of partners at the secondaries firm to 29.

Coller Capital has promoted an investment professional with nine years’ experience at the firm to partner, the sole promotion at that level in the new year.

London-based Martins Marnauza was promoted as of 1 January, a spokeswoman confirmed. He joined the firm in 2010 and is responsible for origination and execution, according to Coller’s website.

In addition to private equity secondaries, Marnauza is also involved in special situations investing including real estate, private credit, aircraft and structured finance in Europe and the US, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Coller has 29 partners listed on its website.

On Monday, Secondaries Investor reported that Coller had backed an almost $1 billion deal with Investcorp in which six assets were moved into a new vehicle. Coller provided around $650 million for the assets and $300 million of fresh capital for follow-on investments, new investments and co-investments in a deal that sees the Gulf-based GP manage a European buyout fund.

Coller is seeking $9 billion for Coller International Partners VIII, according to Secondaries Investor data.
